MiNightVet South Devon

MiNightVet South Devon is a small animal out of hours veterinary emergency service, welcoming dogs, cats and small mammals. We are based in Totnes, Devon and provide emergency overnight and weekend care to clients.

Our service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please see the list below to find out if your veterinary practice can use our service.

The MiNightVet team provide a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. The qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care.

Veterinary Surgeon

Melissa graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2016. She spent her first year in practice completing a small animal internship at a referral centre in Bristol. Since then she has worked as both a GP and a dedicated night vet. Outside of work Melissa enjoys most outdoor activities but in particular going for long dog walks on the coast path.

Veterinary Surgeon

Frankie Nayar graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2014, and has worked at mixed animal and small animal first opinion practice before joining MiNightVet South Devon team. She is currently completing a certificate in small animal surgery, and will start a certificate in emergency medicine and critical care once finished. In her spare time, she enjoys competing in CrossFit and relaxing with her three cats.

Eleanor graduated in 1995. She has worked as a small animal first opinion vet, with a special interest in emergency and critical care work. Eleanor also practises acupuncture and is a cranio sacral therapist. She has moved down from Kent to join the MiNightVet team. She enjoys running, walking, yoga and shares her house with her beloved cat ‘Michael’.

Lucy qualified with a degree in Veterinary Nursing Science in October 2017. After qualifying, Lucy worked at 1st opinion here at Dart Vale. She then moved on to gain some experience and worked as a locum veterinary nurse, gaining experience in lots of different practice environments. Lucy loves emergency and critical care nursing and is currently working towards her emergency and critical care certificate. She has a blue eyed German Shepherd x Northern Inuit dog and spends her spare time walking the coastal path and beaches or can be found out on her stand up paddle board.

Robyn Vardy, MiNightVet

Robyn qualified as a RVN in Cornwall and moved to Devon four years ago. She has been working as a dedicated emergency/critical care nurse for five years, and holds a nursing excellence certificate in emergency and critical care. In her spare time she is kept busy with her three dogs, two cats and a bearded dragon called Figment. She enjoys surfing, swimming and going to the gym.

Katie qualified as a RVN in 2016 and moved over from Ireland to Devon. She has previously worked in a first opinion small animal practise and a referral practise. She then began locum work where she worked in various practises including Langford Vets and Fitzpatrick Referrals before joining the MiNightVet team. She is currently completing her Emergency & Critical Care certificate.

Katie enjoys spending time walking her dog , looking after her horse and chilling with her two cats.
