MiNightVet Lisburn

MiNightVet Lisburn is a small animal out of hours veterinary emergency service, welcoming dogs, cats and small mammals. We are based in Hillsborough, Lisburn and provide emergency overnight and weekend care to clients.

Our service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please see the list below to find out if your veterinary practice can use our service.

The MiNightVet team provide a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. The qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care.

Veterinary Surgeons

Diana Falcao

Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from University of Evora (Portugal) in 2017, Diana moved to the UK where she worked for one and a half years in two busy first opinion practices. In 2018, she volunteered with World Veterinary Services in Grenada and completed a rotating small animal internship at Davies Veterinary Specialists.

She is interested in all aspects of small animal surgery and wish to pursue further training in this area.


Lauren Goossens

Veterinary Surgeon

Lauren graduated from the University of Ghent in 2018 and has worked in small animal practices in Belgium ever since. She has a keen interest in ophthalmology, surgery and internal medicine. In December 2019 she started a surgical internship at Northern Ireland Veterinary Specialists and became part of the MiNightVet Lisburn team.

Outside of work Lauren loves to be around horses and spending time with her family and friends. She’s also passionate about travelling and movies.

Aoife McGarry

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Aoife qualified with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing in 2018 from Athlone Institute of Technology. Throughout her training she had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of practices in Ireland, from companion animals to farm animals and horses! She has a keen interest in emergency & critical care, behavioural problems in animals, and in making the veterinary environment as stress-free for our pets as possible.

She moved to Northern Ireland in 2018 to pursue her MSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Queen’s University Belfast while working part time. In 2019 she joined the MiNightVet Lisburn team at Cromlyn House to provide nursing care out of hours. She has no pets currently, so takes the opportunity to treat all of our patients here as if they were her own!

Jane Benson

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Jane graduated from Harper Adams University in September 2016, and has been working in practice since then. She joined the MiNightVet Lisburn team in November 2019. Jane has a keen interest in inpatient care and exotics. Outside of work Jane enjoys baking, travelling and spending time with her two dogs and three cats.

Ellen Laverty

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Ellen qualified from Greenmount College and has been working with both small and mixed animals. She joined the MiNightVet Lisburn team in October 2019 as she has had always had a keen interest in emergency and critical care. During her time off she enjoys spending it baking and walking her two dogs, Storm the Labrador and Dexter the Terrier.
