MiNightVet Maidenhead

MiNightVet Maidenhead is a small animal out of hours veterinary emergency service, welcoming dogs, cats and other pets.

MiNightVet is based on Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead providing emergency overnight and weekend care to clients. Our service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please see the list below to find out if your veterinary practice can use our service.

The MiNightVet team provide a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. The qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care.

Stepan Russ

Veterinary Surgeon
Stepan qualified as a veterinary surgeon from The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno in 2005. Since then he has worked in a number of UK small animal practices gaining experience and a passion for surgery, and is currently undertaking further study which will lead to advanced practitioner status. Stepan worked with the day team at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital for a number of years before transferring his skills to the out of hours MiNightVet service. Stepan commutes between the UK and the Czech Republic where he lives with his family.

Elzbieta Paszko

Veterinary Surgeon
Ela graduated from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland in 2014 and spent first 2 years working as first opinion vet in the stunningly beautiful region of the South of the country. She decided to move along with her career to the UK mid 2016. She has been working as a first opinion vet since. She spent last year locuming between PDSA and first opinion businesses.
Ela enjoys all aspects of internal medicine but will also enjoy a bit of abdominal catastrophe surgeries.
In her spare time Ela enjoys socialising and hiking. She can also be found strawberry picking on local PYO farm during summer time.

Emilie Callaghan

Veterinary Surgeon
Emilie joined the team at Summerleaze in November 2022 as the weekend OOH day vet with a combined role in first opinion day practice at the Pines, another active vet care site. Emilie graduated at Ghent University, Belgium in June 2016 and moved to the UK shortly after. Since then, she has completed a certificate in Small Animal Diagnostic imaging in which she has a keen interest and is currently pursuing certificates in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care. She enjoys all parts of her job, especially inpatient care at the weekends.
Outside of work Emilie enjoys baking, gardening and spending time abroad with her partner and family. She also has a dog and two cats that keep her company and get up to mischief together.

Alix worked in the equestrian and farm industry for 10 years before moving into small animals in 2015, after working in first opinion practice for 8 years she joined Summerleaze as their out of hours emergency nurse in 2022. She enjoys looking after the inpatients and giving them lots of TLC and has a keen interest in Emergency and Critical Care and Anaesthesia. She has a diploma in Animal Psychology and Nutrition.

Outside of work she enjoys paddle boarding, walking her 5 dogs and spending time with her ex racehorse.

Alanna Harding RVN

I trained at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital and gained my RVN qualification in 2016. I returned to work for MiNightVet about a year ago, to fulfil my passion in emergency and critical care. I have particular interest in inpatient care, anaesthesia and feline nursing, the last of which I have gained a further certificate in. I have two very mischievous kittens at home. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

Georgia Wilks

Patient Care Assistant

Georgia joined Summerleaze as a Patient Care Assistant in 2019. Before joining the Summerleaze team she worked as a Kennel Support volunteer at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Georgia primarily works as a member of the MiNightVet Out of Hours team and has a great interest in Emergency and Critical Care. Outside of work Georgia enjoys walking her Labrador and going to concerts. She also plays guitar and piano and enjoys song writing.
