MiNightVet Maidenhead

MiNightVet Maidenhead is a small animal out of hours veterinary emergency service, welcoming dogs, cats and other pets.

MiNightVet is based on Summerleaze Road, Maidenhead providing emergency overnight and weekend care to clients. Our service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please see the list below to find out if your veterinary practice can use our service.

The MiNightVet team provide a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. The qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care.

Rachel Croft, Veterinary Surgeon at MiNightVet Maidenhead

Senior Veterinary Surgeons
Rachel graduated from Cambridge University in 2011 and has been working in emergency care since 2013. She is currently studying towards her emergency and critical care certificate. Rachel has worked for the MiNightVet team since it opened as part of Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital in August 2016.
Outside of work Rachel enjoys spending time at her allotment which often provides the practice team with her home grown produce and also bell ringing.

Aleksandra Tucholska

Aleksandra (Ola) graduated from The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) in 2012 and has worked in small animal practice ever since. She moved to beautiful Norfolk in June 2014, where she was working as a day vet in a busy first opinion practice. Ola joined the MiNightVet team at Summerleaze in August 2016. Currently she is completing a certificate in advanced veterinary medicine and emergency and critical care. (Ola is currently on maternity leave).

Stepan qualified as a veterinary surgeon from The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno in 2005. Since then he has worked in a number of UK small animal practices gaining experience and a passion for surgery, and is currently undertaking further study which will lead to advanced practitioner status. Stepan worked with the day team at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital for a number of years before transferring his skills to the out of hours MiNightVet service. Stepan commutes between the UK and the Czech Republic where he lives with his family.

Rhys graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 2011. He has worked in a mixture of practice types, but found he particularly enjoys the challenges of small animal emergency work. He moved to the UK for a year to cover Ola’s maternity leave and is enjoying exploring Europe when he’s not at work.

Amanda started at Summerleaze Vets as a student nurse in 2008, and qualified with us in 2010. Since qualifying she has continued her study to gain her diplomas in advanced veterinary nursing and in clinical veterinary nursing in 2015. Amanda’s interest is in anaesthesia, and this is an area that she focused on within her advanced diploma.
Amanda has rehomed two animals, a Burmese cat called Otto and a Poodle cross Bichon called Bailey. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as walking with Bailey.

Lauren qualified as an RVN in 2016, completing her training as a student veterinary nurse at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital. She has an interest in emergency and critical care, so took the opportunity to transfer to the MiNightVet service at Summerleaze in August 2016.
Lauren is currently studying for an advanced certificate in emergency and critical care. Away from work she loves spending time with her own pets, Indie, Bella, Mim and Maibu, as well as socialising with friends and family.

Liz qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005, having completed her training at another of the Active Vetcare practices in Slough. After qualifying, Liz took some time out to travel around Australia before returning home to settle and have a family. Liz juggles life as a full time mum of three with her full-time nursing career.

Hannah first started working at Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital on placement in 2014. As part of her degree she completed over a year of training at the practice, before continuing her studies at Hartpury College where she qualified as an RVN. She quickly found that she couldn’t stay away from Summerleaze and now works for the MiNightVet Maidenhead team based at the hospital. Hannah lives at home with five cats, a rabbit and four turtles.

Adam started working at Summerleaze in 2015. He lives with four cats and a Chihuahua called Cooper who also comes to work with him. He graduated from The College of Animal Welfare in 2018 and is a qualified animal nursing assistant. In 2018 he joined the MiNightVet Maidenhead team to further develop his skills and knowledge in emergency and critical care. In his spare time he likes to do DIY around the house, dine out and visit the USA as often as he can.

Izzy is a MiNightVet receptionist for the weeknight evenings who joined our team in December 2018. Izzy has a rescue cat called Josephine who she adopted from the Blue Cross. In her spare time, Izzy enjoys live music, yoga and festivals.
