Dean Pilgrim

RVN
Registered Veterinary Nurse

Now in his 20th year of nursing, Deans favourite things to do at work have changed and varied over the years. Orthopaedics and minor surgery were always his favourite in the past but he now enjoys the night work and the emergency and critical care work that goes with it. He even had a spell, many years ago of loving the laboratory work!

As well as the night work he does like the challenge of dealing with nervous and reactive dogs, the satisfaction he gets from winning them over and making them feel more relaxed and comfortable will never fade.

When not in work he loves nothing more than heading out on his motorcycle with his camera in the search of the UK’s amazing wildlife. Equally he loves long walks with his 4 dogs who do not get to escape being photographic models for him!

Dean also enjoys painting, playing the ukulele, woodwork and metal work as long as the spiders stay out of the way.
