Gemma Lawn, Veterinary Surgeon at MiNightVet Rotherham

Gemma Lawn

Veterinary Surgeon
Gemma graduated from Edinburgh University in 2007 and worked around the country before settling in South Yorkshire in 2010 with her husband, who is also a vet. She joined Springfield Veterinary Group in March 2017 and works part-time at our Rotherham hopsital to fit around caring for her young family. Clinically Gemma particularly enjoys surgery and emergency work, and has started a surgical certificate. In early 2018 Gemma switched to become one of our night vets. Outside of work she is kept busy with her children and three cats, but also finds time for kickboxing and running, and is in training for her first marathon.
Joanne Hallam, Minightvet

Joanne Hallam

Veterinary Surgeon
Jo graduated from London Vet School in 2004 and worked in several hospital practices around Yorkshire before joining Springfield Vets in February 2017.  Jo left to have her daughter in Summer 2018, before rejoining the team in early 2020 as one of our night vets at MiNightVet Rotherham.

Jo really enjoys emergency work, but also has a strong interest in pain management and rehabilitation. She is experienced with both acupuncture and physiotherapy.

Outside of work Jo is kept busy with her young family and rescue dog Luna, who enjoy accompanying her on walks and runs. She also has a keen taste for any and all activity sports, and will try anything from snowboarding to sailing and climbing.

Anna Niedzela

Veterinary Surgeon
Before working for us at MiNightVet Rotherham, Anna has studied in Poland and Madrid, and completed a 12 month internship in anaesthesia in a University hospital. She has also spent three summers seeing practice at an emergency clinic in Stoke.

Clinically, Anna enjoys internal medicine and out of hours emergency work. After spending time in our Crystal Peaks hub Anna moved to become one of our night vets in January 2019. She is currently studying for a certificate in internal medicine and is enjoying the challenges that out of hours work brings.

Outside of work Anna enjoys cooking, baking and walking her rescue dog Nala. Back in Poland she enjoyed many sports in the snowy mountains, but is struggling to find many around Yorkshire!
