MiNightVet Kildare

MiNightVet Kildare is a small animal out of hours veterinary emergency service, welcoming dogs, cats and small mammals. We are based in Kildare Town, Kildare and provide emergency overnight and weekend care to clients.

Our service is also available to clients from other practices who have arranged this service. Please see the list below to find out if your veterinary practice can use our service.

The MiNightVet team provide a dedicated emergency service with full-time night staff who will be alert and effective even at unsociable hours. The qualified vets and nurses have a special interest, experience and training in all aspects of urgent critical care.

Sarah Enright

Veterinary Surgeon
Sarah qualified as a veterinary surgeon from U.C.D in 2008 and joined the MiNight vet team in 2019. She has gained experience working in practices in the U.K. and Australia as well as Ireland. She has a keen interest in Small Animal Medicine as well as Emergency and Critical care. Sarah has a rescued Springer Spaniel called “Tess” and they can be often found walking the hills and mountains on their time off.

Fiona Grimes

Veterinary Surgeon

Fiona graduated from UCD in 2011, and since then has been working in small animal practice in the UK. She moved home to Ireland and joined the MiNight Vet team in April.

Outside of work, Fiona has a passion for travelling and has been to many different countries. She has a cat called Minnie who she rescued as a stray and made the journey home with her from the UK.

Katie joined MiNightVet Kildare in January  2019 when it first opened. She qualified from Myerscough college in the uk with a degree in veterinary nursing. Katie has a keen interest in emergency and critical care. At home Katie lives on a dairy farm and has three lovely dogs called Holly, Moose, and Jill. Katie also has two lovely horses called meg and Rebel and she enjoys hacking them out and doing some competitions. Katie is currently adding on to her degree and studying a canine behaviour course.

Gwen Dukes

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Gwen graduated from UCD in 2013 with a BSc (hons) in Veterinary Nursing, and since 2009 has worked in Small Animal practice, in a variety of settings, from general practice, to emergency and critical care, and animal welfare organisations. Her main areas of interest are emergency and critical care, and feline geriatric nursing. In her spare time, she volunteers with the Kildare Wildlife Unit where she is a senior carer, and plays piano and cello. She lives locally with her four cats and elderly dog.
